Ending So Soon.

So today is my last official day of Christmas Break (although if the weather keeps it up I might not be going back to school tomorrow) and I'm a little bummed out. This break has been really wonderful and very relaxing and I've really enjoyed spending time at home wtih my family and friends. I know breaks can't last forever and I'm sure the last little bit of school will go by ever so quickly..

Last night was a very fun night. I went to work at 3:00 and had to work until 8 (that wasn't the fun part. Ha!) But after that my good friend Jessica came to pick me up and we filled the rest of our night baking peanut butter cookies and chatting about old memories. The two of us see each other almost everyday but rarely ever spend quality time together so I really had fun.

Last night with Jessica really got me thinking of just how diffrent my life will be in just a few short months. I will be in collge and having to fend for myself. It also made me realize just how lucky I am to have those few amazing, longlasting friends who, through thick and thin, have always been there. This is one thing I pray will remain the same as I begin the journey to becomming a young adult. But something tells me I have nothing to worry about.. =]

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."Deuteronomy 31:6

On Your Mark..Get Set..Blog.

So this is my very first blog. I've watched my older sister Jennifer (or sissy as I like to call her =] ) blog for a while and decided..what the heck..I want one too! I really enjoy having a place to document my thoughts and memories and I look forward to this new world of blogging.

I'm currently still on Christmas break from school and loving every minute of it! Don't get me wrong, I do actually like my school and I enjoy being there most of the time, but it was time for a much needed break. I've mainly been lazing around at home and spending time with Sissy and her husband Josh. I've gone to lunch with some friends a few times and have continued working at the good ole Price Cutter (my not so glamorous, but much needed job).

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and I'm not 100% sure of my plans quite yet. Unfortunately, I am stuck working until 9. But I'm sure I will come up with something and can't wait to ring in 2010. I have a sneaky feeling the first part of the new year is going to FLY by..!

Well that's all for my first blog. I leave you with this bible verse. I will do this at the end of all my blogs because, to me, it's a simple reminder that God is here guiding me through this crazy little thing called life and he is here guiding you too.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
